*How do I go about BOOKING?

Bookings for custom work can be submitted anytime, although not all pieces can be approved unfortunately.

Flash can be booked at anytime.

 *Tell me more about FLASH &ONE OFFS

** ONE OFF is a design tattooed only once. Flash can be repeated. Some designs will be posted under “flash shop” or “one off designs” on this website, on venue.ink.com/mamaearthtone, and also in my stories highlight reel on Instagram.   There is much much more available in person! All designs are secured via a paid deposit which will be applied to your tattoo cost.

*How do I go about making a DEPOSIT?

Deposits are now 75-150$ and Are Required and Nonrefundable*. An appointment is not valid without a deposit. 

On the booking website, you will pay for your deposit before booking an appointment.

i do prefer deposits made in person if you would like to do it that way, please let me know. We are open everyday, anyone in the shop can take your cash deposit.

*Deposits expire after 3 months unless otherwise discussed and they are non-refundable.* A one-off design is released again to the public if it was not tattooed, this is to keep designs available to others if the design is not tattooed within the season. Please do not take photos/take designs to other artists.

*Submitting for CUSTOM WORK 

Imagery for custom pieces that will take precedence :::: subject matter of the occult, natural, the magickal, the mystical and anything relating to witchery, cosmos and ethereal pieces, projects for personal spiritual growth.** fine line designs, muted color tattoos, and fine line traditional work in black or minimal color *    

*Do you take WALK-INS?

I am not often at the shop at the moment, but if you’d like to catch me to chat, or get a walk-in, I am generally at AOT on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 1-430.

Walk-in availability is not guaranteed but you’re always free to visit and hang out or ask questions!

*What are your DRAWING INFO policies?

Drawings will not be sent through email. Custom drawings are done week/day of the appointment. You are welcomed to and encouraged to send over any reference pictures after you’ve been emailed back so that I can get a good idea of what interests you.   I do not replicate tattoos or imagery, reference is used as a guideline.

*What about CONSULTATIONS ?

Due to a highly busy schedule, I am no longer taking consultations. Any changes are made day of and factored into the appointment time.    

*Whats your PRICING ?

**Price  estimates can be given, please keep in mind that it is only an estimate. Some pieces can be higher/lower depending on many factors and this will be discussed further after hashing out your ideas. I give price ranges based on the time put into the piece, detail, and can vary and change due to the actual sitting, ease of session, the difficulty or location, materials used, so on and so forth. ***There is a 120$ minimum. Pricing can also vary depending on the city/state/shop if traveling based on the shops overall pricing. **I always try to work within my customers budget! Setup/supply, and drawing time is factored into the final price of your tattoo. *******We do not accept credit/debit at this time. Cash Only Please!! If your tattoo has been moved to the booking process, your budget is approved *******    

DAY OF APPOINTMENT TIPS  ?

Cash Only on the day of appointments. We do not accept credit cards.

If you are approved for an appointment , your budget has been approved and your tattoo appointment will not cost more than what you’ve put under the “budget” space on the form. I will send a reminder of the budget you listed.

Please dress appropriately for your tattoo, (loose, dark clothes are best - wear something that leaves the part of the body you’d like tattooed easily accessible). Tattooing can stain clothing.

**Be sure to eat something and be hydrated for your appointment!  We can take food or drink breaks during long appointments but please no eating or drinking during the tattoo or in the tattoo area, including gum and candy.*

If possible, please leave your phone away from the tattoo area as well.
If you have a friend with you to take a photo, photos are allowed of your tattoo process and tattoo. Please let me know also, if you are not comfortable of being photographed/your tattoo photographed.

It would be so so appreciated if you come pre-shaved to your appointment as to not use/waste a disposable razor. I,  and the environment, would love you for it (we are required to throw them out after single use and that makes me sad.) Some people choose to bring their razor from home (if uncertain about placement) to not waste the disposable razor that we would need to toss after the appt.

There will be a set-up waiting time upon your arrival. Usually it is not too long! You can bring a lovely book. (Artists generally start set up once you arrive so as to not lose supply for no-shows.) 

• *And if I am ARRIVING LATE/CANCELING?

There is a 48 hour cancellation policy, deposits are non refundable, this is to make up for loss of time— ( tattoo artists are only paid if you show up, which is why deposits are important because otherwise we lose out on hours worth of work.)

If you do not notify via email within 48 hrs of cancelling on the booking form or you do not arrive at your appointment, this is considered no call no show and I will not be reaching out to reschedule your appointment and deposit is lost.

Arriving late could lead to a rescheduling, depending on if this will interfere with the next clients appointment time. 30 minutes or more is a loss of appointment time.

Another deposit is required to rebook an appointment if you are last minute canceling.

There is a $50 setup fee if there is a very last minute cancellation (day of or right before the appointment. If, by the time of the appointment, the client decides for whatever reason not to be tattooed, and if the station has been setup - the client is charged for supplies that have been wasted.)

If a design needs to be highly altered or changed several times- this could lead to a necessary reschedule in order to not interfere with the next appointment’s time slot.     

OTHER OFFERINGS ?

I do very much appreciate good conversation but will honor how you would like to spend your tattoo session. Please let me know what that looks like for you.

I sometimes enjoy burning oils, incense, woods or herbs for sessions - so please indicate any allergies or any dislike of any of these, or indicate anything you’d be open to include in your session.

If you would like to listen to headphones, or remain in silence I will honor that .

I offer one card tarot readings, Full reiki sessions and longer tarot spreads can be booked on weekend mornings before shop opening for privacy and are sliding scale 40-80$. FREE OFFERINGS

I take one free session a month.
I offer free color tests for BIPOC, as well as free SI scar coverups. (tips are always welcome for tattoos, and are very appreciated for supply costs/time for free offerings.)

MEDICINE SESSIONS

All tattoos are medicine, but for lack of better word— id like to begin offering “ tattoo medicine sessions.”
We would meet for 20-30 minutes or so, and you could reveal an important story to you, free speaking of your spirit/who or how you are in these moments, a potent dream or journey you’ve had, goals or affirmations, really whatever you’d like to embody in imagery. Out of that I will create a design that resonates with your words and draw whatever comes to mind within the story, any connected symbology, etc. and we will co-create a piece together. This could be helpful for folks that would like to honor something in their life, but not sure how to create a tattoo from an experience or state of being or feeling etc.

I take one medicine session a month.

PRODUCTS  

I tattoo with nontoxic products and equipment. I also work with vegan inks. I use primarily biodegradable/eco friendly tattoo disposables and equipment - tubes fully decompose, eco friendly gloves, eco friendly “plastics” etc.  I no longer work with tegaderm , but if it does work well for you you can purchase it before your appt at cvs, riteaid or online. For first timers— i believe it’s important to understand the healing process of a tattoo and do not encourage tegaderm. I will explain aftercare in person.

 RESCHEDULING / HEALTH EMERGENCIES   

Please, pleaseee reschedule if you are not feeling well, or have any early signs or symptoms of illness. Illness puts both you and I at risk, as well as other customers and coworkers. Anyone who enters the building with any signs of illness will be sent home, please prevent this from happening by simply rescheduling if you have any coughs, sneezing, fever - anything. It is a sterile environment and I will not be upset if you need to reschedule for health emergencies. Likewise, if I am not well, it is my complete responsibility to reschedule your appointment for your, and my coworkers safety. 🖤  

Other rescheduling is of course no problem if done in a timely fashion! There is a 48 hour notice cancellation policy.  All reschedules will be put on the waiting list. After a second or more last minute cancellation, I may need to deny continuing to do the work due to the complications that are likely to arise in future scheduling with repeat rescheduling.

*** i am adding this disclosure because of recent issues, I, sometimes often, must reschedule (occasionally, last minute) due to personal reasons and I ask if clients can please, please be flexible about this. I try to get people in ASAP and as close to their original appointment  date as possible, yet I am extremely busy and doing my best.*** if this doesn’t work or sound ideal to you , I will be able to suggest another artist for you to work with. 

If you are a person experiencing your moon time around the time of your scheduled appointment, please let me know. I am flexible in rescheduling for this time, and if you decide to be tattooed I will have tips for you to make your healing process more comfortable. (It is best to be tattooed during your follicular phase directly after menstruation and in your ovulation phase! If you’re able to sink up your appointment for that time, go for it! Being tattooed around your Pre-cycle can help with any necessary emotional releases, but please be conscious of healing/immune system/etc. while on your 🌹 .)   

 TOUCH UPS  

Touch ups are free of charge. I give one free touch up on hands/feet/fingers/face/knees/pits/neck etc, but any surpassing that one time requires a minimum charge or more. 

 FIRST TIMERS

 I do not tattoo hands/face/feet/fingers/face/knees/pits/neck/head for a first time tattoo, and generally you must be heavily tattooed in order to book these body placements. This is due to occasional rejection of ink in these spots, and a person who is new to tattooing might not understand this concept and be unhappy with the outcome/ necessary touch ups throughout life. If you do not plan on being heavily tattooed, I would not recommend any of these placements. I do not generally tattoo ribs/ chest/ sternum for first timers as well as they have a higher difficulty in experience.

Tattooing from cultures aside from my own / aside from your own. example: I will not tattoo say, a Japanese sleeve if you are not of Japanese decent- I will recommend you to seek out a Japanese artist in the area! Although, If you are of Japanese decent but really want to work with me on a piece of your heritage, I will consider this honor. If you are of certain heritage and want something to honor that, please indicate that in your form submission!
